Sad to learn of the recent passing of New York City Horror Film Festival founder & director Michael J. Hein. This dude was Jersey to the core, and I’m thankful for all he did for horror cinemaniacs everywhere. The independent horror film community has lost one of its greatest advocates, but his legacy will live on through the lives of the filmmakers he championed, and the fans he thrilled along the way. Rest in peace, Michael.
