Auntie Maro

Today my beloved Auntie Maro is at peace after a twelve year battle with Alzheimer’s. Growing up, she was like a second mother to my sister and me, a beam of light who loved her family above all else. I’ll never forget her legendary cackle, the amazing meals she whipped up with the greatest of ease, and the enormous smile on her face as I swung her around the dance floor at my cousin Marlyne’s wedding. Now she is reunited with her King, we all have a new angel to watch over us, and heaven will surely be well fed.
